Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs with Zen 4 Architecture are now available at AMD.
AMD on Monday announced the launch of its Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processor based on the upcoming CPU upgrade “Zen 4” during the address of the company Computex 2022 in Taiwan. Based on TSMC 5nm process technology, the new Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processor is expected to provide a 15% increase in single band performance compared to its predecessor, for better desktop PC experience. New desktop processors will include up to 2x or CCD (Core Complex Dies) chiplets. Each 5nm chiplet will have up to eight cores and the L2 repository will also double 1MB total CPU cores. During the keynote address, AMD also mocked a 16-core, 32-thread Ryzen 7000 Series desktop clock processor with a 5.5 GHz clock in all AAA games, the company's first. The same processor also performs more than 30% faster than Intel's flagship Core i9-12900K processor in delivery work with multiple Blender fibers. In addition, the Ryzen 7000 series will feature a whole new 6nm I / O die (IOD), which includes a graphics engine supported by AMD RDNA 2, a new low-power design adopted by AMD Ryzen mobile processors, support for recent memory and and communication technologies such as DDR5 and PCI Express 5.0, an expanded set of instructions that provide AI support for up to four monitors and acceleration. More details about the AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors desktop processors are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. New desktop processors with Zen 4 cores will officially arrive in Fall 2022, possibly between September and December 2022. In addition to the AMD Ryzen 7000 series, the company has also announced a new line of AMD AM5 motherboards to support new processors. It will have a 1718-pin LGA connector, 170W TDP processor support, two DDR5 channels, and new SVI3 power infrastructure. The Multiple PCIe 5.0 processors with up to 24 lines segregated from all storage and graphics are available on the AMD Socket AM5 architecture. It will have three levels of mother boards, X670E (Extreme), X670, and B650. These motherboards will be available with OEMs such as Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Biostar, and Asrock. Apart from this, AMD has announced the new addition of Ryzen Mobile-up, the “Mendocino” processors based on the 6nm process. These new chips will feature four cores of 6nm Zen 2 and images based on RDNA 2 design for better battery life and performance. In Q4 2022, OEM partners will have new CPUs available.
